Mid-Century Beauty - New woodgrain melamines from Bestwood

Bestwood has recently released two new melamine decors to the market, featuring a stylish mid-century vibe.

Vancouver Larch and Alberta Larch both showcase a finely-grained quarter-cut timber appearance reminiscent of the popular style embraced by furniture and cabinetry craftsmen in the 1940s, 50s, and 60s.

While both melamine designs share identical patterns, they are presented with distinct color schemes. Displaying a softly striated color across the panel, these designs offer more visual interest compared to traditional quarter-cut veneers.

Alberta Larch, with its soft warm tones, emerges as an incredibly versatile option that complements warm-veined benchtops, as well as dark navy and green color schemes.

On the other hand, Vancouver Larch, with its dark chocolate hues, harmonizes beautifully with softer pastels like pistachio and duck-egg blue. It also serves as a striking complement to white and off-white color schemes. Here at Residium we loved Vancouver Larch so much we’ve just used it to make our new boardroom table!

To enhance the aesthetic, 1mm edgetape is available in various widths, including 22mm, 29mm, 35mm, and 45mm.

Large format panels of both new decors are on display now in the New Zealand Panels Group showroom at Residium Auckland
