Stellaria Auckland Showroom Now Open

Stellaria, a leading provider of top-tier building materials in New Zealand, invites you to discover the essence of enduring homes at their newly established showroom in Residium (formerly the Home Ideas Centre), Auckland. Partnering with Wienerberger, Stellaria revolutionizes the specification of clay construction materials with a high spec new Showroom designed with specifiers in mind.

Dwellings are envisioned as havens of assurance, ease, and enduring recollections, serving as the backdrop for moments that families hold dear for generations. Chris and Robyn MacPherson aspire to manifest this dream for a broader audience through their company, Stellaria, which is committed to delivering top-tier building materials.

In collaboration with Wienerberger, Stellaria has redefined the introduction of clay construction materials in New Zealand with a novel and forward-thinking approach.

Stellaria caters to an array of upscale projects across New Zealand, supplying a diverse collection of clay building products, including Terca facing bricks, Porotherm Clay Walling Blocks, Penter Clay Pavers and Koramic Clay Roof Tiles. Additionally, they offer the commercially-focused Argeton & Corium ceramic cladding, designed for swift installation and lightweight facade solutions.

The recently established Stellaria Showroom at Residium (formerly the Home Ideas Centre, Auckland) showcases a comprehensive display of their product range, offering samples for examination, the creation of mood boards, and exploration of the entire selection. The showroom features a spacious counter area equipped with docking stations synced to a large screen TV, facilitating on-site meetings with architects, designers, or specifiers to review plans and finalize options.

Two standout offerings in their portfolio are the Terca Clay Brick & Porotherm Structural Clay Wall Blocks. Departing from the traditional NZ 70 series brick, these products strike a balance between classic brick facades and the architecture of tomorrow. They usher in a new era of brick applications in New Zealand, presenting exciting colors, formats, textures, and styles, thereby expanding possibilities for brick cladding in Kiwi constructions.

Product Discovery Simplified

Each clay building product in the Stellaria Showroom is conveniently labeled with QR codes, instantly linking visitors to the Browse Bricks page on the Stellaria website. This offers additional details on formats, color choices within a collection, and facilitates sample ordering.

The Porotherm clay walling block system, featured prominently in the showroom, stands out for its efficiency in construction. Widely used in designs across the North and South Islands, its substantial size (minimum 250mm external wall), thermal properties (such as the CLIMAmur Insulated Range used in Queenstown projects), and seismic resilience have spurred significant demand for this building system.

Porotherm is emerging as the preferred choice for solid masonry homes. Contrary to the perception of higher costs, building with Porotherm is comparable to a 140mm timber-frame build, averaging between $4,500 and $5,500 per square meter.

To facilitate those contemplating home designs with Porotherm, Stellaria now offers an online resource called BLOCKBUILD. This platform connects individuals with architects, designers, home companies, engineers, builders, and block-layers experienced in working with the Porotherm Clay Block System.

Experience all of this and more at the Stellaria Showroom, located at Residium 165 The Strand, Parnell, open seven days a week with complimentary parking available on Level 3.
